It’s the most wonderful time of the year! One of my favorite parts about the holidays is the traditions that we have as a family, and that includes making homemade cinnamon rolls every Thanksgiving morning. This recipe was passed down through my best friend’s family and has become a staple that everyone looks forward to each year!

Homemade Cinnamon Roll Recipe
Dough:
1 pack yeast
1 c warm water
1/2 c sugar
1/3 c salted butter
2 eggs
4 1/2 c flour
Filling:
1 1/4 c brown sugar
3 tbl cinnamon
1/2 c melted salted butter
Frosting:
2 c softened salted butter
3 c powdered sugar
1/2 c cream cheese
1 tbl vanilla
1/8 tsp salt

Instructions:
- To make dough, dissolve yeast in warm water(105-110 degrees). Add sugar, butter, egg, and flour to water. Mix and then knead for 2 minutes. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Roll out dough evenly into a large rectangle about 1/2″ thick.
- Spread melted butter over dough and sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the top.
- Then roll dough along the long edge and slice into 12 pieces.
- Place in a greased 9×12 baking dish.
- Let rolls set out to rise a bit or put in the fridge overnight. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Keep an eye on them. You want them golden brown but not overdone.
- For the frosting beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and salt.
- Once rolls are cooled cover in frosting. Put extra frosting in a bowl for when they are served.
